webLIBSHUFF version 0.96

This webpage will allow you to compare two libraries of 16S rRNA gene sequences and determine if they are significantly different. This service is provided by the Sapelo Island Microbial Observatory project, funded by the National Science Foundation.

This script will run PRELIBSHUFF and LIBSHUFF version 1.22 on a PHYLIP-format distance matrix file and email the results to you. Please see the "Documentation" link to the left for instructions, and the LIBSHUFF homepage for more information on the original program.

webLIBSHUFF is written by James R. Henriksen (contact for technical problems), LIBSHUFF by Dr. Dave Singleton, and PRELIBSHUFF by Rima Upchurch.

The path to the distance matrix file:
This file should be an unmodified DNADIST output file.

How many sequences are in the first library (X)?
What is the name of the first library (X)?

How many sequences are in the second library (Y)?
What is the name of the second library (Y)?

What is the email that you would like the results emailed to?

Please double check the information above, particularly the email address. A webLIBSHUFF run with one hundred sequences in each library will take approximately two minutes, while a webLIBSHUFF run with four hundred sequences in each library will take approximately two hours. Libraries over 2000 sequences are not allowed at this time.
